The FDA has recalled processed foods that contain Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, known as HVP because of a samonella risk. Click here to see the current list of recalled items. List is expected to be longer so be sure to check back. Problem stems from a company in Las Vegas called Basic Food Flavors Inc who makes the flavor enhancing ingredient used in thousands of processed food products. These include soups, snack foods, dips, dressing and packaged meals.
