Here is another idea to get started on Christmas shopping when you don't have the money to spend. I just found out about a site called SayNation!. You get points for surveys that you do that can be redeemed for gift cards at places like Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Paypal cash deposit, Sunoco gas card, AMC theaters, Amazon, Claire's and Xbox live points or Wii points as well as Victoria's Secret. Perfect places for presents for the holidays.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are a Florida resident you will want to read this. The costs to renew your drivers license, renew your license plates and registering your vehicle are going to go up 35 to 60% on 9/1/2009. You might be able to save some money if you can hurry down to the Department of Motor Vehicle's and renew your drivers license or get your license plate renewal ahead of time. This is the deal. Florida will allow you to renew your drivers license up to 18 months ahead of time. The difference in cost for renewing your drivers license? $20 for a renewal now, $48 for a renewal on 9/1. Definitely worth your time. If your birthday is within the next 3 months, you can renew your plate now. If your birthday is more than three months away you won't be able to renew your plates at the lower rate. In these economic times, it is important to save all you can, so if you can take care of this in August it should be worth your time.
