I am going to let you in on a little secret. Actually it is a pretty big secret especially if you have multiple people in your family that require prescription eyewear. In my family, 4 out of 5 of us require either prescription eyeglasses or contacts. That can get a bit pricey even if you have coverage for glasses through your employer. We don't have that coverage so it is even more important to get the best value.
I don't want the cheapest frames. I want trendy, cool looking frames and I want my kids to have the same. Having the option to get great designer frames at an awesome price is just perfect for my budget! I have ordered Coach, Prada, Lucky, Magic Clip and so many more. I have paid as little as $20 for a pair complete shipped to my door and as much as $110 for a designer pair with transitions lenses. (Comparable locally same frames for over $350!)
I have been using Coastal for 3 out of 4 of our families prescriptions. I would use it for everyone but at this time they do not handle prism and that is what my hubby needs. Still a great savings for our family.

If you have current coverage for contacts or glasses, this is a great way to get a deal on your prescriptions. Although I no longer have prescription coverage, when I did I found it was cheaper to order "out of network", pay for the prescriptions and get reinbursed. Coastal is great about filing out whatever you need to get reinbursed.

As far as customer service, had a problem once and they immediately shipped out a replacement and sent me a prepaid label to return the originals. Can't beat that! Have some fun. Take a photo of yourself and "try" on glasses online. It is quite interesting but works out well as my glasses have always been exactly what I wanted. Now you know my little secret!!
