I have to say, one of the best gifts the boys got last year for Christmas was magazine subscriptions from Grandma & Grandpa. All through the year they have been thrilled to receive "their" magazine to the point that they are waiting by the mailbox or can't wait to get home from school to see if they have received mail. I don't know about your kids, but mine don't get much mail so it is a real treat to get a magazine. (And, they are teenagers and still think that is cool!)

I mention this because there is a really good deal on Amazon this week. Most of the magazines are already good values but when you added the latest discount, it is a fantastic deal! I was able to order quite a few magazines for $5 for a year subscription. That is a great deal! And, if money is tight, what a great gift for only $5!! The sale price will show up instantly in your final purchase screen although the discount does not show up the second you put it in your cart.

I just ordered my hubby a weekly magazine for Christmas. I know, not so sexy, but he looks forward to magazines as well. If you give a subscription, they can remember your gift all year long. I think that is nice. There is plenty of time to order so this is a great gift idea. Plus, how many of you have out of town family that you have to mail them their presents?
