Here is my latest shopping trip. I spent a total of $30.51 including tax and this is what I got for it; Loaf of Merita bread 2 loafs of Pepperidge Farm Cinnamon bread 2 boxes of Cheese-its 2 boxes of Lipton specialty teas 2 16 ounce Velveeta cheese blocks 2 packages Beggin Strips 2 3.5 pound pkgs of Purina Beneful dog food 1 gallon Publix milk 2 spray bottles I can't believe it's not butter 2 Edwards singles dessert 6 Ben & Jerry's FROYO frozen yogurt 2 Starbucks Ice Cream 2 Taco Bell Dinner Kits 2 large Coles frozen garlic bread Publix large eggs 2 I can't believe it's not butter 4 quarter packs All in all a very good shopping day! According to my Publix receipt, my savings today was $75.62. You can do this too. Go to I heart Publix and view the current weekly ad. Watch for the links that say print to print your coupons. The best way to save is to combine the buy one get one free deals with coupons. At Publix you are allowed to use one coupon for each item even if the second item was free. I also recommend getting the Sunday paper. I get 2 or 3 copies of the paper if the coupons are really good that week. Every penny counts these days. It does not take that long to prepare to shop. It takes about an hour to plan the coupons before going to the grocery store. As long as you have a list when you go to the grocery store, you won't have to worry about buying extra things you don't need because you will have a list and a plan.
