Problem is their victory will be short lived. Apparently along with their great idea of the 2% cheese, they have decided to package it in 7 ounce packages. Now I don't know about you, but as a mom of three teenage boys, this is not working out to well for me. Almost every recipe I make that calls for shredded cheese calls for 8 ounces. Yes, I know it is only 1 ounce, but darn it I want that missing ounce. I don't want to change my recipes for less cheese. The recipes are perfect the way they are. And, why should I have to purchase another bag of cheese when I only need an ounce. I know, I know pick your battles. Not everything is worth the fight, but cheese, well cheese might just be worth the fight. I mean have you ever made a lasagna with skimpy cheese? It does not taste as well as one with the cheese bubbling over. If you want the rave reviews you have to splurge on the cheese not skimp! Or how about chicken fajitas with not enough cheese for the family and you have to open another package. What a waste!
Well I decided I would let Kraft know how I feel. Why would they want to sabotage their own new product? Does not make a lot of sense to me. Right now you can find 50 cent tear off coupons for the natural cheese down the dairy aisle of your local grocery store. It is a great product, it is just sooooooo sad that they decided to use the 7% packaging on this product. Kraft, what were you thinking? Kraft Food & Family Magazine is also charging for their magazine. For years it was free and offered great recipes. I can't even begin to tell you how many recipe's I have incorporated into our normal family meals from that magazine. I can also guarantee that I started purchasing a lot more Kraft products about that time. My fav recipe is Simply Lasagna. You just have to try it. It is sooo easy. You don't even have to cook the noodles. Now that is my kind of cooking! Here is the link to the recipe. At least the recipe is still free online. lol
