Hopefully you were able to get a great deal on the shoes. If you have not checked them out yet, click on the link and get right over to actionvillage.com and check out the huge sale in their outlet.

I am thrilled with the deal I got on etnies shoes for my son. Can't beat the $20 price!

Here are the links to some great bloggers who have listed the sales on school supplies at the following stores. I will keep an active list available until school starts so don't forget to check back for next weeks list.

Here is another great idea if you have no idea how you are going to buy school clothes for your kids.

Things are tight for everyone but it is especially difficult for those who have lost their source of income and those of us who have more than a few kids. If you have not checked into freecycle.org, now is definitely the time to do so.

Freecycle can be like a Godsend. Freecycle's motto is "Changing the world one gift at a time". Basically the goal of freecycle is to reduce the amount of garbage in the landfills. To accomplish this goal, freecyclers "gift" things to other freecyclers that they no longer need which keeps items out of the landfill. You can be gifted just about anything. Think kids clothes, kids toys, houseware items, lawn mowers, snow blowers, appliances, you name it, it can be gifted. The great thing is everything is free. You are not allowed to charge or pay anything.

Sign up for a free membership to the freecycle nearest your home. It is customary when starting out that you gift something to someone before asking for something. You say you don't have anything to gift? How about grocery coupons from the newspaper or plants you no longer need after pruning? Almost anything can be gifted. Think about groceries you are not going to use that may go bad soon. You get the picture. I once received 9 pairs of like new brand name shorts for one of my sons. Can't beat that! So try it out. Offer something and then ask for what you need. Good luck and happy freecycling!
