NEW PUBLIX COUPON BOOK & GREAT DEALS AT PUBLIX TODAY, 1/29!

Posted by Lyn at 11:14 PM
Well I have to say I am pretty happy with my shopping trip at Publix today.  When we went to take a picture of all of the groceries, it hit me.  That is a lot of groceries for $109!  I mean I am not going to be that lady that pays $5 for $600 of groceries somehow and that is okay.  If I can save money like I did today, that is good.  I am happy with that.  Honestly when I add this up over the month, I am saving as much as I would earn at a part time job.  Plus I don't have to buy work clothes and pay for gas and an extra car and eat out more etc. etc.  Nothing wrong with a part time job.  I am just trying to show there are other ways you can save money and still be able to stay home with your kids.  Not everything works for everyone, but this is certainly an option.

Next time you head out to Publix, be sure to look for the new coupon booklet by Kimberly-Clark and Unilever called The Little Book of Big Buys.  I found this at the entrance of the store. There are some great coupons in this book.  Here is what is included;
$3 off Huggies diapers
$1.50 off Huggies wipes
$3 off Pull-Ups
$3 on Goodnites
$1 off Kleenex
75 cents off Cottonelle toilet paper
75 cents off Scott toilet tissue
$1 off Viva paper towels
$1 off Scott paper towels
75 cents of Kotex pantiliners or tampax
$1 off Depends
55 cents off Q-tips
55 cents off Degree deoderant
$1.50 off Degree deoderant
$1 off Suave haircare
55 cents off Suave kids
$1 off Bertolli frozen meal
$1 off Country Crock side dish
55 cents off Country Crock spread
$1 off 2 Ragu pasta sauce

Now on to my trip.  I ended up with nearly $300 in groceries and spent $109.38.

I decided to try the new Barber chicken boneless chicken that was on sale in my store as an in store special for $6.99 a package.  When I was checking out the price never showed up, once they verified the price they gave me both items for free.  The same thing happened with Betty Crocker Blueberry Muffin mix and I got two of those free as well.  Not something you would expect but it sure was nice to get them for free even though it took quite a while longer in the check out.
