Without cutting down the competition, I will just say that over the last three years I have gone through 5 blenders. One I paid well over $400 for and another famous affordable brand I spent $99 on. I have actually been through three of the $99 one however when the metal blade broke off into my morning protein shake, that was it. I quickly realized the safety risks.
A friend had mentioned they had a Vitamix for years and never had a problem with it. Now this is a person who makes a smoothie every day so I am guessing the Vitamix is getting it's use. I for one make the same protein shake for my son and I every morning. We do the Xocai wellness protein shake. I like the whey protein isolate shakes with over 56,000 ORACfn (the amount of antioxidants). My son and I notice the difference when we make our shakes so we stick with it.
Our favorite recipe calls for 1/2 a frozen banana, 1 teaspoon creamy peanut butter, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water and 2 scoops of the Xocai dark chocolate wellness protein powder. I really think it is the frozen banana which has caused the blenders so many problems. I just recently received my Vitamix delivered to my home and I quickly started using it. I found that for my shake, it works best to use the Smoothie option. I like that I don't have to continually pulse it. I also like the 5 year warranty. All of the other brands were offering a 1 year warranty!
If you value your health and appreciate a whey protein isolate shake or a fruit smoothie, invest in a good machine to make it happen, invest in a Vitamix.
