Here is a really easy Nacho recipe perfect for college students as well as for families with kids. This is super easy and since practically everything is on sale, thought I would share it.
College Nachos
You need
(1) Bag Tostitos Nachos or other brand
(1) 3 ounce cream cheese
(1) 1 can Hormel Chili (use coupon below)
(1) 4 ounce shredded cheese
(chedder, mexican blend, mixed blend, your choice)
Use lettuce, sour cream, black olives etc as you prefer. We make ours plain.
You can easily double this recipe. We usually double it when we make it and use 1 family size bag of Tostitos & (1) 8 ounce pack of shredded cheese.
On medium heat on stove or hotplate, use a small pot and slowly mix the cream cheese and chili. (If you heat it too quickly the cream cheese will become lumpy)
Pour cream cheese chili mix over chips piled on a plate. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Add whatever options you like. Yummy!
