Awesome deals at Publix today! $120 worth of groceries for $30 & lots of printable coupons!

Have I ever told you how much I love Publix?  I love shopping there!  Today when I went through the checkout and the cashier told me the total, I said no way.  I could not believe that my total was only $29.59 before tax!  Honestly I was at the checkout looking at all of my groceries on the belt and thinking this is going to cost me a fortune.  I live on a fixed income and for a second there it just looked like my groceries would be about $100..  Once she started ringing up the coupons, I started smiling.  I just love coupons. 

Well she tells me the total and I pay of course and walk out of the store beaming.  I was so proud of myself that I had saved that much money.  And just think you can do this too.  It is easier than you think.  Today I bought lots of dog food and ziploc bags.  The coupons for both of those items are right in the Publix store.
The pet coupons are right by the entrance and the store sale flyer.  The ziploc coupons are on a tearpad with a cardboard display in the aisle.  Now remember the ziploc will end up being a moneymaker if you send in the rebate!

Here is what I bought;

Arnold Country white bread BOGO   $3.69 for 2
Smuckers Uncrustables 3 for $6  3-$1 off coupon (total cost $1 each!)
4 packs Rolaids sale 2 packs for $3 (used  2 coupons for $4 off 2- 12/09 flyer c-moneymaker of $2)
6 Ziploc bags @ 2/$3 (used 6 $1 coupons makes ea 50 cents total cost $3 & eligible for $5 rebate)
(Printable $1.50 coupon on 2 if you can't get the store coupon-can't use both together)
Plus here are details on submitting a $5 rebate-you can do this 3 times but you need 3 original receipts)
4 Yoplait Fiber one yogurt BOGO $2.50 (Used 3 $1 coupons & 1 75 cent coupon- paid $1.25 for all 4!)
Lipton tea bags BOGO $3.91 (Used 2 60 cent coupons from 2/7 flyer-paid $2.71 for 2-$1.35 ea)
Barilla pasta sauce BOGO $2.75 for 2
5 bags Steamfresh frozen vegetables 50% off
2 Simply potatoes BOGO $2.59
Pillsbury cookie dough BOGO @ $3.09 & (used $1 coupon made each $1.05 each)

4 Purina One 4 lb dog food (used 4 $3 coupons paid $2 ea for a total of $8 for four bags)
Also used $10 coupon on a $50 purchase competitor coupon from Winn Dixie.

Sales tax        $2.03
Grand Total $31.62

Publix receipt shows savings of $90.88!!  Yipee.

Hubby also went to Publix and he spent almost the same amount as me. Can you say freaky?  We were within a dollar of each other, and no it was not planned.  :-)
