It is crazy hearing about all the sick kids from schools. I heard there were over 900 kids sick in St. Charles IL where I went to high school. There are schools closed in Wisconsin as well. Just in case, maybe you will want to stock up on the latest CVS specials. My trip to CVS today was just to purchase 2 containers of Advil and 2 boxes of Robitussin. Robitussin is on sale for $5.50 each and Advil is on sale for $4.50 each. If you spend $20 on specific products which include Dimetapp, Robitussin, Advil or Advil PM, Chapstick or Centrum, you will get $10 back in extra bucks which you can use on your next purchase.
Here is my purchase;
2 Robitussin $5.50 each & 2-$2 off coupons or $2 off coupon on Dimetapp (Remember to click back on your browser to print it twice)
2 Advil 50 count $4.50 each w/ $2 off peelie coupons or use $1 off coupon, or $2 off coupon on Advil PM
Total purchase is $20 before tax. I had $8 in coupons 4-$2 each for a total of $12. I received $10 in extra bucks which leaves me with a total net cost of only $2!! Considering I will be back at CVS for the new Transformers movie deal tomorrow, it works out really well.
For those of you not aware of the Transformer deal, if you spend $25 at CVS on certain P&G products you get a $10 credit towards the movie that just came out yesterday. Click here to go to Kansas City Penny Pinchin Mama to check out the ways to maximize your savings with this deal. One of the deals even makes this a moneymaker! Tomorrow I will make a trip to buy Herbal Essences shampoo and Bounty paper towels to make this deal work for me. I will have some happy kids when they see that I bought them this movie. One of the perks of being frugal! There is even a $5 rebate when you buy Purdue chicken after the deals at CVS. This would make a great Christmas present for someone and ends up being an amazing deal!
